If your teeth need alignment, but the traditional wire dental braces has put your off treatment, you can be assured there are alternatives. With these latest modern technologies, the team at 7 to 7 Dentist aim to support you through your journey.
With these advances in dental and orthodontic technology, clear aligners are custom made to fit your teeth. Nearly undetectable, whilst still performing the same gradual adjustments of your teeth as traditional braces.
These modern technologies can be called ‘invisible braces’, or ‘clear braces’ aligners offer the convenience for those candidates looking to straighten their teeth using a more aesthetically pleasing ‘clear’ system for appearance. These aligners can also be removed, making it easier to eat as well as clean your teeth.

An Overview of two of the most popular clear aligner options on offer, Invisalign and Clear Correct.
How does Invisalign work?
Aligners are an upper and/or lower set of firm, transparent resin material that fit snugly over your teeth, that are practically undetectable. The aligners are made using the latest 3D imaging technology, allowing your dentist to create a highly customised solution to precisely address your needs.
Unlike traditional braces, aligners are replaced intermittently, with each set carefully designed to gradually move your teeth toward the desired position, they are not glued on like Braces. Invisalign is a discreet option that aims to get the results you’re looking for without the obtrusiveness of wire braces.
Invisalign is a popular choice amongst teens and adults in professional environments, with over 6 million people having been treated with the larger Invisalign company.
How long does the Invisalign treatment take on average?
Treatment will vary depending on your individual circumstances. Our dentist will be able to give you an estimate of treatment time, as you are an individual having highly personalised needs, you will have a specific treatment planned out in accordance to those requirements by our qualified and professionally trained dental team.
Your aligners will be organised and you’ll have a new set of aligners once every 1 to 2 weekly, as suits your process, designed by you and our Dentist until the completion of your treatment.
Will Invisalign suit me?
While Invisalign can be used to treat a large range of teeth movement issues such as a crossbite (misalignment of top and lower jaw), overbite (top teeth overlap lower teeth) or underbite (lower teeth protrude in front of upper teeth), as well as overcrowded or widely spaced teeth, you are best to book your FREE CONSULTATION with our Dentist. This process of near-invisible braces may be exciting, just remember it won’t necessarily be a suitable treatment for everyone. Our Dentist will be able to evaluate your eligibility for Invisalign, as well as suggest alternative options.
What is the Invisalign costs?
Invisalign treatment is based on the individual, so pricing will vary depending on your needs. On average, costs are expected to range from $4,500 for a simple singular arch treatment to around $8,500 for a large upper and lower dual arch case. If you have private health insurance, your course of treatment is most likely to be covered in the same way that traditional braces are, according to Invisalign.
As with other dental treatments, it’s a good idea to speak to your dentist about estimates for your treatment based on your specific needs.
How does Clear Correct work?
Clear Correct has been in business in the US for over many years, and have now made their aligner treatment available to Australian patients to give them another option when it comes to braces alternatives. In contrast to Invisalign, Clear Correct offers three distinct options for addressing your teeth:
Limited 6 – This set of aligners works to treat the full arch, not just from the first premolar to first premolar. The Limited 6 is an ideal option for minor adjustments, as it includes six sets of aligners.
Limited 12 – Provides further range of treatment with 12 sets of aligners. There is no additional fee for revisions of up to 1-2 aligners midway through the process, as long as no extra sets of aligners are required.
Unlimited – As the name suggests, the Unlimited option allows our dentist to work with as many sets of aligners as are needed to adjust the teeth as needed. This allows for an unlimited number of revisions to your aligners over the space of three years, meaning you dentist is able to continue to make recalculations and adjustments to your treatment as you go.
If you have chosen a Limited 6 or 12 option and need an extra set or two, you also have the option to order these as recommended by our dentist. Fees may be attached to any extra aligners needed as some teeth may need longer.
Clear Correct aligners are made from a specialised, hard-wearing material called Zendura, specially designed for ultimate stress retention – meaning that the aligners are resistant to becoming deformed under biting pressure.
How long does the Clear Correct treatment take on average?
This all depends on your recommended and chosen treatment option. If you only need to make small adjustments to your teeth, our dentist may suggest the Limited 6 option, ideal for cases that can be treated within the timeframe of the six sets of aligners.
Our dentist will provide you with your next stage of aligners at four to six-week intervals, depending on your treatment. Clear Correct estimates that patients wear their aligners for a minimum of 22 hours each day.
Am I right for Clear Correct?
As with Invisalign, while Clear Correct can be used to address a range of problems, it is also a course of treatment that won’t be suitable for everyone, so you are advised to talk to our dentist about whether Clear Correct could be an option for you.
Simply book your FREE CONSULTATION online or call: 1300 661 771 today.
How much does the Clear Correct treatment cost?
The pricing of Clear Correct will vary depending on your individual needs. The first set of retainers is included in the price, and you have three price brackets for the different treatments.
Limited 6, Limited 12 and Unlimited Clear Correct prices vary and it is best to discuss specific costs with our dentist. The flexibility of the Clear Correct treatment makes it attractive for many patients, as it represents a slightly more affordable alternative to Invisalign.
Whether you decide to go for Clear Correct or Invisalign, there can be both aesthetic and structural benefits to both, so it’s worthwhile discussing your options with our local Dentist.
